About Our Format

Pulzar FM is a station that is all about living life to the full. It's full of energy, excitement and enthusiasm. The music mix of the latest hot pop remixes, huge dance anthems and awesome classic tunes that everyone associates with great memories is fresh and different to what you would hear on traditional broadcasters.

While Pulzar FM was previously known as only a dance station, the new format is much more “mainstream accessible” and will appeal to a broader audience during the critical daytime hours.

This is the station that retail establishments, grooming bays, kitchens and common rooms will all be tuning in to.

Plus with the advantage of being a local station, there's no Auckland-centric content whatsoever! Pulzar FM exists to fuel Cantabrians, and is proudly owned by three young kiwi entrepreneurs.

The station is staffed by a mix of young presenters and hosts, and features many of Christchurch's top DJ's performing regular sets in the evenings. If it's hot with great energy, you can bet you'll be able to hear it on Pulzar FM! After all, it's all about your music… your life…. and it's our pleasure!
