DAILY SHOWS
THE MORNING GRIND – 6-10 Weekday Mornings
Josh & Gordon debuted as the new Morning Grind team (taking over from station manager Andy Pulzar) on Monday June 15th 2009. They host a fun morning mix of energetic “get up and go” music, lively chat, news and information. Breakfast is the anchor for any good commercial radio format, and this show will be one to listen in to.
LUNCH WITH NADINE or KIRSTY - 10-2 Weekdays
Lunchtimes we turn the studio over to one of our two regular announcers - Nadine on Mondays & Tuesdays or Kirsty on Thursdays & Fridays.
Nadine is a previous broadcasting student that's now kept pretty busy as a young mum. She's full of bounce and energy and will entertain you and keep you company through your lunchtimes on Tuesday & Wednesday.
Kirsty is a bundle of energy we struggle to keep contained in the studio every day she's on-air from 10-2!
AFTERNOON DRIVE – 2-6 Weekday Afternoons
Pulzar FM provide with best in afternoon entertainment, with Lyndon entertaining you through your afternoon every weekday. Lyndon plays a sweet mix of great tunes, your requests, does giveaways, and has fun interactive spots like "I Should Have Been Fired" and "Head To Head".
MONDAY EVENING
WEEKEND WINDUP with Wazza & Nate (6-8pm Mondays)
Wazza & Nate review the weekend that's just been, discussing the best gig's, the stories that have done the rounds and commending those that mixed up a storm. Then they'll give you all the info you need for the week ahead... what's hot, what's not, what songs are making waves and who's best to see next weekend when you hit the town. All this will be wrapped around a stunning array of musical mayhem... this'll be great fun!
THE ADVENTURES OF TIN TIN or TheRobsta (8-10pm Mondays)
DJ Tin Tin is a Christchurch institution and one of the nicest guys in the Christchurch dance scene. By day a mild mannered restaurant general manager, by night the trance takes control and he lets loose the best in current and classic uplifting and charging trance, live to air!
Every other Monday, TheRobsta lays down two hours of the best live house you can hear anywhere in Christchurch.
THE EUPHONIC SESSIONS (10pm-12 Mondays)
Some of the top trance DJ's on the planet drop by with an exclusive mix set every Monday evening for 2 hours of commercial free uplifting trance. Lift your spirits late on a Monday and tune into The Euphonic Sessions.
TUESDAY EVENING
VIP with Tripp (6-8pm Tuesdays)
Tripp will mix a few of his favourite tunes, and invite a DJ in to join him on the decks and behind the mic, delving into who they are, what they're all about, their DJ history and favourite tunes, etc. This show will provide a fascinating insight to a different local, national or international DJ each week, and will definitely be a show well worth listening to.
DJ Nacoa (8-10pm Tuesdays)
Nathan Coates has been DJing around Christchurch for several years and holds residencies with many of Christchurch's finer establishments, playing his unique blend of nu jazz dub fusion mixed in with a good seasoning of funk and breaks. DJ Nacoa will be playing some of his favourites each week, keeping you up to date with gig's around town and providing something a little different to many of the others on the schedule.
GLOBAL DANCE SESSION (10pm-12am Tuesdays)
Hailing all the way from Europe, the Global Dance Session consists of the most upfront dance selection available and features some of the biggest and most credible names in the dance scene. Past talent to guest feature on the show has included the likes of Bob Sinclar, TocaDisco, Morales, Krafty Cuts, Chris Lake, Mark Knight, Axwell, Mason and Above & Beyond to name just a tasty handful. GDS is hosted by Brian Cheetham who formally mixed and produced the Ministry of Sound international FM radios shows for 4 years taking the shows to their peak and winning awards across the world on the way.
WEDNESDAY EVENING
DJ TKO (8-10pm Wednesdays)
After working for many years in London's pirate radio scene, DJ TKO has immigrated to New Zealand, bringing crates of classic vinyl and top underground tunes to educate the Christchurch populace with. Expect to hear a varied mix of classic and contemporary tunes, with a touch of house, garage, underground old school rave anthems and his biggest favourites of the new millennium. And all delivered with that classic english accent that so many associate with the best in dance music.
TheRobsta (10pm-11pm)
TheRobsta has been an institution in Christchurch house music for many years. As the in-house producer for the original Pulzar FM for several years, Rob was a vital member of the team that put together Christchurch's first dance music station. Now that he's got a real job, playing the best in house music is an experience he loves whenever he gets the chance. You will often see him DJing at various venues around Christchurch, always playing the best house music from classic to current.
AMURAI GLOBAL (11pm-12am)
Every Wednesday evening at 11pm we cross to Los Angeles, where we touch base with Amurai Global. Manvel Ter-Pogosyan (aka Amurai) is an electronic dance music producer and DJ based in Los Angeles, California. Manvel is endorsed by/signed to companies such as Sony (Australia), Armada (Armin Van Buuren), Levare Records (Ferry Corsten), Deep Blue Records (Solarstone), Alter Ego Records (Chris Chambers & Matt Abbott), Empire State Recordings (Filo & Peri), and Amon Vision Recordings. His is also collaborating with well respected vocalists such as Tiff Lacey, Emma Hewitt, Colleen Riley, Jenni Perez, etc on some very interesting productions. In Amurai Global you can expect to hear a fantastic mix of Dance, Trance, House, and Progressive music.
THURSDAY EVENING
THE SOURCE (6-8pm Thursdays)
The Source (with thanks to White Elephant) happens every Thursday evening from 6-8pm. Hosted by Dean, Zac, Tim or Carl, it's a showcase of great local talent, young DJ's that are breaking through and loads of great music.
Maestro B (10-11pm Thursdays)
As a DJ that's played around Christchurch for more years than he cares to admit too, Maestro B heads up the Audio Dreams party brand. He loves his house music, and every Thursday evening he mixes up a set of his current favourites to put a smile on your face and get your feet happy along, with thanks to SKULL CANDY.
Sample Gee (11pm-12am Thursdays)
Probably New Zealand's best known and most loved DJ, Sample Gee is responsible for so many firsts, its not really worth listing them all here. The founder of Lagered, New Zealand's highest selling DJ compilation series ever, Sample Gee can always pick the best tunes and mix them in style. And now we're delighted to have him on Pulzar FM, mixing up the best in uplifting house, progressive trance, and what he affectionately likes to call "trouse" (trancey house). Every two weeks Sample Gee will be providing us with a fresh new mix of his top tunes, and we'll be pumping them out so you can turn the radio up and go a little nuts just before midnight!
FRIDAY EVENING
THE GLITTERATI SHOW with Tori & Kate (6-8pm Fridays) (ends Feb 26th)
Tori & Kate are two very stylish girls about town who profile the best in fashion, how to look stunning when dollars are tight, where to get the best in great fashion bargains, and all the juiciest in celebrity gossip. With occasional VIP studio guests, inside goss on the biggest events in the country and an incredible sense of fashion, these two fabulous ladies will always have you looking your best and knowing all the best stories for that essential small talk. Add in a healthy dose of the best pop and house and you've got the perfect mix of two hours of highly entertaining and informative radio. The right show to listen to at 6pm on a Friday to get your weekend right!

Rave Radio with Seth Hamilton & Guests (8-10pm Fridays)
As one of Christchurch's leading Breaks DJ's, Seth Hamilton has earned himself a formidable reputation and regular gig's with the top Breaks events in the city. Every Friday night he'll be in the studio laying down a live mix to get your weekend started right, often with a live MC or guest DJ's adding more awesomeness into the mix.
ADELE & ANIKIN (10pm-12am Fridays)
Join Anikin, Adele and guests as they lay down a mix of the best house, electro & breaks to set your house alight and get you ass movin', wherever it happens to be.
SATURDAY
SATURDAY HEADFIX with WILL & HAYLEY (10am-2pm Saturday)
Saturday mornings kick off with this irreverent duo taking over the studio and barricading the doors to keep the boss out. Random thoughts, straw polls, review, info & loads of great music. Just what you need to start your weekend right.
HOT 30 COUNTDOWN with LEYLA (2-5pm Saturday)
Saturday afternoon @ 2pm we feature the Pulzar FM Hot 30 Countdown, with Leyla Hutchison counting down the 30 hottest new tunes as voted for by listener phone calls and votes on the Pulzar FM website.
DOUBLE DROP DUBSTEP with TIMMY C and guests (5-6pm Saturday)
One of Christchurch's best known Dubstep DJ's, Timmy C & his regular guests drop into the studio to warm up your late afternoons with the best in global dubstep, DnB and whatever else takes their fancy, mixed as only they can.
DRUM & BASS SESSIONS with Nick Ryan (6-8pm Saturday)
During the day, he protects people as one of Christchurch's best known firemen, but on Saturday evenings he lets his hair down and gets back to his love of dirty drum & bass. With all the info on what's happening around town, the best in new and classic drum & bass, interviews and in-studio guests, the Drum & Bass Sessions will get your night started right.
AFTER DARK (10pm-1am Saturdays)
Taking Pulzar FM to the dark side for several hours on Saturday evenings, After Dark is the show where you can hear the latest in dubstep, drum & bass and hardcore. Pushing the energy levels to the maximum and dirtying up your radio with nasty, sweaty music. If you like it grimey, you'll love After Dark!
SUNDAY
CHILL ZONE (6am-noon Sunday)
After a big weekend, you’re not wanting things to get too intense, so we kick off Sunday with a laid back mix of chill out, dub, balearic grooves, funky house, jazz, deep house and down tempo cuts along with some cool new releases. Picture yourself sitting at a table at the famous Cafe del Mar or Cafe Mambo looking out over San Antonio Bay as the sun sets in Ibiza. That's the sort of feel we're going for on Sunday mornings until noon.
NZealectronica (6-8pm Sunday)
We showcase the down home sounds of NZ electronic music. From dub to house to drum & bass, we journey through the country profiling what’s happening, interviewing key acts and playing great Kiwi tunes.
Sassafras Sessions (8-10pm Sunday)
Well known Christchurch DJ Sassafras lays down a smooth mix of the best in house, progressive, trance and whatever else takes his fancy every Sunday evening for two hours of music majesty.
SOLARIS INTERNATIONAL (10pm-12am Sunday)
For over a decade Solarstone has been creating dance-floor traffic jams with a convoy of revered club classics, all-out anthems & critically-acclaimed artist albums. In 2008 Solarstone broke into DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll for the first time, debuting at 93. Releases from Solarstone’s label projects Solaris & Insatiable are instrumental components of his highly individualistic sets and are constantly supported by the trance & prog spinning elite.
